Discovering a Hidden Gem: A New Black-Owned Nail Salon in Stone Mountain, Georgia

Why I Love Supporting Black-Owned Businesses
I love exploring my local community and highlighting Black-owned businesses that people may not know about. Whenever I have the opportunity, I enjoy stopping in, introducing myself, and learning the stories behind the entrepreneurs who are investing in our neighborhoods. My goal is to help bring more visibility to these businesses and encourage others to shop locally whenever they can.
A Chance Discovery in Stone Mountain
Sometimes the best discoveries happen when you aren't looking for them. While driving through Stone Mountain, Georgia, I happened to pass by a business that immediately caught my attention. I noticed a sign for Oh My My Beauty & Nail Salon, and my curiosity got the best of me. Instead of continuing on my way, I decided to stop, walk inside, and introduce myself.
My First Impression of the Salon
From the moment I walked through the door, I was welcomed into a clean, inviting space with a friendly atmosphere. As someone who enjoys highlighting Black-owned businesses in our community, I wanted to learn more about the salon and share it with others who may be looking for a new place to get their nails done.

Celebrating Passion and Entrepreneurship
During my visit, I had the opportunity to look around, admire the beautiful nail designs on display, and see firsthand the passion that went into creating the salon. Opening a business takes courage, dedication, and countless hours of hard work, and I believe those efforts deserve recognition and community support.

The Importance of Shopping Local
One thing I've learned is that we don't always have to wait for social media to tell us where to shop. Sometimes, simply driving through our own neighborhoods can lead us to discover amazing local businesses that have been waiting for someone to walk through the door. By supporting local entrepreneurs, we're helping build stronger communities and creating opportunities for small businesses to grow and thrive.
